La modalità FPS Boost di Xbox Series X ed S, la nuova feature che permette di raddoppiare il framerate dei titoli in retrocompatibilità, sta dando sicuramente una marcia in più rispetto a quanto offerto da Sony con PS5 in termini di fruibilità e piacevolezza dei titoli della precedente generazione. Sebbene questa modalità fosse stata implementata solo per una manciata di titoli fino a questo momento, poco meno di trenta negli ultimi tre mesi, quest’oggi Microsoft ha annunciato il supporto a questa “miracolosa” feature per un bel numero di titoli, portando il conto totale dei giochi supportati a quasi 100, 97 per l’esattezza.
Da questo momento quindi comincia ad essere sicuramente un nutrito numero di giochi a beneficiare dell’FPS Boost su Xbox Series X ed S, capaci quindi di girare a 60fps o addirittura in alcuni casi arrivando a 120 fotogrammi al secondo, un bel salto di qualità senza dubbio. Microsoft continuerà a testare e ad aggiungere nuovi titoli retrocompatibili alla lista dei giochi supportati da FPS Boost. Vi ricordiamo che l’FPS Boost è utilizzabile su entrambe le console di nuova generazione della casa di Redmond, ovvero Xbox Series X e Series S.
