La scorsa notte si son svolti i People’s Choice Awards 2019, di cui elencheremo i vari vincitori annunciati. Prima però eccone un breve recap generale.
Come prevedibile, dato l’impatto ed il fandom di certe serie durante l’anno passato, quanto a nomination si era visto il trionfo lato tv di Game of Thrones con otto candidature; a seguirlo, entrambe con sette nomine, Riverdale e Stranger Things.
Per quanto riguarda i film, quasi scontato dirlo, Avengers: Endgame ed in generale i diversi titoli del Marvel Cinematic Universe si trovavano al comando con tantissime candidature per questi People’s Choice Awards 2019.
Se però infatti Avengers: Endgame si è portato a casa diversi premi (anche grazie a Robert Downey Jr., presente alla manifestazione) ed in generale la Marvel ha ottenuto riconoscimenti per Zendaya e Tom Holland in Spiderman: Far From Home, lato serie tv Game of Thrones rimane all’asciutto e non compare tra i vincitori.
Per gli show televisivi a trionfare è infatti Stranger Things anche se, stranamente, non come miglior serie sci-fi/fantasy. La statuetta per questa categoria viene infatti a sorpresa portata a casa da Shadowhunters per la sua ultima stagione. Presente a ritirare il premio durante questi People’s Choice Awards 2019 anche Katherine McNamara, attualmente in tv con Arrow.
Sia per le serie tv che per i film la già citata Zendaya ma anche Cole Sprouse, la star di Riverdale, si aggiudicano più premi. La giovane attrice, oltre che per il suo ruolo in Spider-Man: Far From Home, ha spopolato per quello in Euphoria; Cole Sprouse invece, oltre che per il suo Jughead nella popolare serie di The CW, ha vinto anche per il suo ruolo nel film Five Feet Apart.
Si sa, i premi per i People’s Choice Awards vengono assegnati a furor di popolo, che poteva votare direttamente sul sito di E!. I vincitori rispecchiano dunque in particolare un’utenza giovane ma son stati comunque non sempre scontati.
